What students and families need to know.

Check the regular October 28 deadline, separate October 29–31 late-fee window and current corrigendum before completing UGC-NET December 2026 registration.

Deadline reminder checked: 24 October 2026. This is not a newly announced extension.

Applicants for UGC-NET December 2026 should review their form and payment status before the regular deadline. NTA’s October 8 opening notice gives October 28 at 11:50 PM for regular application and fee submission, with a separate late-submission period from October 29–31 at 11:50 PM and an additional ₹500 late fee.

Use the current official documents

The UGC-NET official portal lists the live application form, opening notice and corrigendum. Read the opening notice only after locating the applicable document on that portal if the direct file is unavailable. Later corrections may supersede parts of an earlier schedule.

Check submission, not only account creation

Review the subject, qualifications, category and uploaded evidence against the current bulletin. Confirm the final application and successful payment status in the official account. Save the available acknowledgement and use the official support route for an unresolved issue.

Our corrigendum coverage provides background on the earlier schedule correction. A future correction window should not be treated as permission to submit an inaccurate form now.
