Return & Refund Policy
The Scholar Portal is committed to providing professional educational counselling, admission guidance, and student support services. We aim to provide clear information about our services and assist students and parents throughout the admission process.
Please read this Return & Refund Policy carefully before making any payment for our services.
1. Nature of Our Services
The Scholar Portal primarily provides education-related services, including career counselling, admission counselling, college and course selection guidance, application assistance, documentation support, entrance exam guidance, and study abroad counselling.
As these are service-based offerings, refund requests are considered according to the terms and conditions mentioned in this policy.
2. Refund Eligibility
A refund may be considered in limited situations where the service has not been utilised or where a payment-related issue has occurred.
Refund requests may be considered in cases such as a duplicate payment made unintentionally, payment being successfully deducted but the requested service not being initiated, or a confirmed technical payment failure reported by the bank or payment gateway.
Any eligible refund request should be submitted within 7 working days from the date of payment along with the relevant payment details and supporting information.
3. Non-Refundable Situations
Payments made for services that have already been provided, initiated, or utilised are generally non-refundable.
A refund will generally not be applicable if a student or parent changes their mind after counselling, application processing, documentation work, or other services have started. Refunds will also not normally be provided if admission is not secured due to eligibility requirements, insufficient academic performance, entrance examination results, college or university admission decisions, or rejection by an institution.
The Scholar Portal will not be responsible for delays, changes, cancellations, or decisions made by colleges, universities, examination authorities, government departments, counselling authorities, or other third parties.
Refunds may also not be applicable where incorrect, incomplete, misleading, or delayed information or documentation has been provided by the student or applicant.
Any registration, counselling, application processing, documentation, consultation, or other service charges that have already been utilised are non-refundable.
4. Refund Request Process
Students or parents requesting a refund should contact The Scholar Portal with their payment details and a clear explanation of the reason for the refund request.
All refund requests are subject to verification. The Scholar Portal reserves the right to review the service status and payment details before approving or rejecting a refund request.
Approval of a refund request does not automatically mean that the full amount paid will be refundable, particularly where part of the service has already been provided.
5. Refund Processing Time
Once a refund has been approved, it will generally be processed within 7 to 15 working days.
Where possible, the approved refund will be credited through the original payment method used for the transaction. The actual time taken for the amount to reflect in the student's or customer's account may also depend on the respective bank, payment gateway, or financial institution.
6. Cancellation Policy
Students or parents may request cancellation of a service before the relevant admission, application, counselling, or other service process has officially started.
Cancellation requests are subject to verification based on the status of the service. If the service has already been initiated or partially completed, applicable charges may be non-refundable.
Once a service has been fully utilised, cancellation and refund requests may not be accepted.
7. Payment Security
The Scholar Portal uses secure payment processing methods and payment gateways for online transactions. We do not intend to store sensitive banking, debit card, credit card, or other payment information on our own systems.
Payment information may be processed by the relevant third-party payment gateway according to its applicable terms, conditions, and privacy policies.
8. Third-Party Services & Admission Decisions
The Scholar Portal provides counselling and admission assistance but does not control the admission decisions, eligibility criteria, seat availability, counselling schedules, cut-offs, application decisions, visa decisions, or policies of colleges, universities, government authorities, examination bodies, counselling authorities, or other third parties.
Therefore, payment for our counselling or admission assistance services does not guarantee admission into any particular college, university, course, country, or program.
Admission outcomes may depend on factors including student eligibility, examination results, merit, availability of seats, institutional policies, government regulations, counselling results, documentation, and decisions made by the relevant authority or institution.
9. Policy Updates
The Scholar Portal reserves the right to update, modify, or revise this Return & Refund Policy when required. Any changes will be published on this page.
Students and users are advised to review this page periodically for the latest version of the policy.
