Upcoming-calendar briefing checked: 24 October 2026. This is not a newly issued deadline announcement.
Students preparing UK undergraduate applications for 2027 should confirm which deadline applies to their chosen courses. UCAS lists 13 January 2027 at 18:00 UK time as the equal-consideration deadline for undergraduate courses other than those with a 15 October deadline.
Do not treat an earlier route as reopened
Read the official UCAS deadline entry and check the individual course information. The January date does not reopen an October deadline or make it the correct route for every programme. Equal consideration concerns how on-time applications are considered, not a guarantee of an offer.
Leave time for the whole application
Plan course research, statement answers, references and any school or adviser process before the submission date. If your school has an earlier internal deadline, include it in your own calendar. Retain confirmation that the application has actually been sent rather than assuming a saved draft has reached UCAS.
The study-abroad section can support initial exploration. The related UCAS guide below explains course choices and the current three-answer statement structure, while the other guides help you organise evidence and language requirements.
Frequently asked questions
Does January 13 apply to every course?
No. Check the course-specific deadline, including any earlier route.
Does meeting the deadline guarantee admission?
No. The course provider still assesses the application and decides whether to make an offer.
