The official NTA SWAYAM portal continues to provide the July-semester examination application route. This is a reminder to check the original notice and any amendments, not an announcement that course enrolment or an examination deadline has been extended.

Learners taking a SWAYAM July-semester course should check whether they need to register separately for its examination. NTA's October 9 notice concerns exam applications; it should not be read as a fresh enrolment invitation for every course.
The key deadlines
The NTA registration notice covers 662 courses. Applications run October 9–31, ending at 11:50 PM. Fee payment is allowed until November 1 at 11:50 PM, and corrections are scheduled for November 2–3 up to 11:50 PM.
Computer-based examinations are listed for December 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12, with a duration of 180 minutes. The annexure provides course-specific dates and shifts; your course does not take an exam on all five days. City and admit-card details will follow separately.
What learners should check before payment
Open the official SWAYAM examination portal and match the exact course name and code. Similar course titles can lead to a wrong selection, especially when several coordinators offer related subjects.
- Read the course's certification conditions and confirm your assessment progress.
- Use the bulletin to check the applicable examination fee; do not assume all course payments are identical.
- Compare the listed exam date and shift with college examinations, work and travel plans.

Why the certificate decision needs a little planning
Before spending money, decide what the exam supports: a course requirement, an approved credit arrangement or a skill you can demonstrate. If you want college credit, ask your own institution for its approval process and keep the answer in writing.

Frequently asked questions
Is the fee deadline the same as the form deadline?
No. The notice lists October 31 for the form and November 1 for payment. Completing both early reduces the risk of a last-minute problem.
Can I choose any date from December 8–12?
Use the course-specific date and shift in the annexure. The overall examination window is not a free choice of dates.
Will registering for the exam guarantee a certificate?
No. Check and meet the assessment and certification requirements published for your course.
